Anant Singh bail rejected once again by the Patna MP-MLA court, keeping the Mokama MLA behind bars. The court refused to grant relief in the Dularchand Yadav murder case. Anant Singh bail rejected has become a major political talking point in Bihar.
The case is linked to violence during the Assembly by-election campaign. Dularchand Yadav, a supporter of the Jan Suraj Party candidate, died during a clash between rival groups. Police later named Anant Singh as an accused.
Singh was arrested and sent to Beur Jail. Since then, his lawyers have tried several times to get bail. They argued that he was falsely implicated and had no direct role in the killing.
The prosecution strongly opposed the bail plea. It told the court that the case involved serious charges and eyewitness statements. The judge agreed and said the matter needs a full trial.
With the bail rejection, Anant Singh will remain in jail for now. His legal team is expected to move the Patna High Court soon.
The decision has added pressure on Bihar politics. Supporters call it injustice, while rivals say the law is taking its course.
