The Andhra Pradesh government issued an alert for persons with disabilities. The coalition government decided to extend the application deadline for free three-wheeler scooters. The state is offering these scooters with a 100% subsidy. Online applications are already open for eligible applicants who want to benefit from this scheme.
The government earlier announced that applications must be submitted by November 25. Many applicants asked for more time. The government then extended the deadline by five more days. Applicants can now submit their forms until November 30. Each district will receive 80 scooters under this welfare program.
To apply, candidates must meet several conditions. The applicant must be between 18 and 45 years of age. A disability level of at least 70% is required along with a valid certificate. A driving licence is also mandatory. The government also set an education condition. Only candidates who completed Class 10 can apply.
The state created a dedicated website for this scheme. Eligible persons can submit their applications on apdascac.ap.gov.in. Officials say the extension will help more beneficiaries complete the process on time. The government aims to support mobility and independence for persons with disabilities through this initiative.
