The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a key appointment in the state’s real estate sector. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s administration has named A. Shiva Reddy as the new Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (AP RERA).
Shiva Reddy previously served as the convener of the Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi, an organization known for its advocacy on capital city protection. His appointment reflects the government’s emphasis on strengthening regulatory oversight in the state’s real estate sector.
The official notification was issued by S. Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department. The order confirms that Reddy will now lead the authority, which is responsible for ensuring transparency and accountability in housing and real estate projects across Andhra Pradesh.
Officials also confirmed that the process of appointing four additional members to the authority is underway. These appointments are expected soon, signaling a stronger regulatory structure to safeguard the interests of both developers and homebuyers. The move comes at a crucial time, as Andhra Pradesh’s housing and infrastructure projects are gaining momentum.
