Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi officially took charge in Patna on Thursday amid loud cheers and a massive show of support from party workers. The city witnessed a festive mood as leaders and supporters gathered to welcome the new state president.
After arriving in Patna, Sanjay Saraogi paid floral tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar near the High Court. He then led a colourful roadshow towards the BJP state office. Party workers lined the streets, waving flags and raising slogans.
Senior leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, welcomed him at the party headquarters. Saraogi formally assumed office, succeeding outgoing state president Dilip Jaiswal. The event highlighted unity and confidence within the party.
Sanjay Saraogi is a six-time MLA from Darbhanga and a well-known organisational leader. Party insiders say his appointment focuses on strengthening the BJP at the grassroots level.
Leaders believe this change will bring new energy to the organisation ahead of upcoming political challenges. Workers expressed hope that the party will grow stronger under his leadership.
