EVMs and VVPATs have been allotted across 18 districts for the first phase of the Bihar Election 2025 EVMs and VVPATs process. The District Election Officer and Magistrate completed the first randomization for 121 constituencies under Election Commission supervision. In Patna alone, 5,677 polling stations will use 5,677 Ballot Units (BUs), 5,677 Control Units (CUs), and 5,677 VVPATs. To ensure smooth voting, 20% reserve BUs, 20% reserve CUs, and 30% reserve VVPATs have also been arranged.
A signed list of allotted EVMs and VVPATs was shared with district-level offices of political parties. After candidate lists are finalized, the EVMs will be safely stored in strong rooms under party supervision. The second phase, covering 20 districts and 122 constituencies, will follow on October 13. This process ensures transparency, security, and preparedness for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
