Bihar Elections 2025 enter their final stage on November 11, marking the second and last phase of polling. Voting will take place across 122 constituencies in 20 districts, deciding the fate of 1,302 candidates, including 136 women.
The first phase, held on November 6, recorded a historic 64.66% voter turnout—the highest since 1951. Officials expect similar enthusiasm this time. About 3.7 crore voters, including 1.95 crore men and 1.74 crore women, are eligible to vote at over 45,399 polling booths from 7 am to 5 pm.
Key candidates include ministers Sumit Kumar Singh, Sheela Mandal, Jayant Raj Kushwaha, and Mohammad Zama Khan, along with Bhojpuri actor Ritesh Pandey and Renu Devi.
Security has been tightened with over 500 companies of Central Armed Police Forces on duty. Live webcasting from all polling stations will ensure transparency and real-time monitoring.
The campaign saw fierce competition among the NDA, RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, and Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party. While the NDA banks on Nitish Kumar’s governance record, the opposition highlights unemployment and price rise.
Results for all 243 constituencies will be declared on November 14, deciding Bihar’s political direction for the next term.
