Bihar Elections: Women’s Enthusiasm Shines Bright

Bihar Elections Women’s Enthusiasm

The Bihar Elections witnessed an inspiring wave of women’s enthusiasm right after the grand festival of Chhath. Across districts, women led the way in celebrating democracy with remarkable energy and determination.

In Buxar, three generations of a family cast their votes together, setting an example for others. At Bind Adarsh Middle School in Asthawan, 80-year-old Mundrika Devi voted along with 18 family members spanning four generations. The sight of elderly and young women standing proudly in line became a symbol of empowerment.

In Munger, long queues formed as early as 7 a.m. At Agrahan Panchayat booth, 104-year-old Bajrangi Singh and his 95-year-old wife Parvati Devi showed unmatched commitment. In Harnaut, 96-year-old Savitri Devi arrived in a wheelchair to vote, supported by officials.

Even household chores couldn’t hold women back. In Saran and Gopalganj, women turned up in huge numbers after completing their morning work, changing the scene at polling booths.

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar praised voters for their faith and participation. He thanked them for turning the election into a true festival of democracy, driven by enthusiasm, transparency, and dedication across Bihar.
