Operation Zakhira explosives seizure in Patna Bihta

Police in Bihar carried out Operation Zakhira explosives seizure and found 392 kilograms of explosives in Bihta, Patna. The raid followed a tip about illegal firecracker production. Officers discovered gunpowder, potash, sulfur, coal powder, sesame seeds, and firecracker shells.

Four men — Mohammad Arman Alam, Mohammad Raja, Mohammad Aftab (Ali Imam), and Mohammad Sonu Alam (Pyaju) — were arrested. They all live in Taranagar near IIT Amhara. Two of them have past criminal cases.

The seized material included 65.8 kg of potash, 7.5 kg of sulfur, 77.8 kg of bidi crackers, and 800 reel crackers. Police also found cotton thread, firecracker reels, gunpowder, and a gas cylinder. These were used to make firecrackers illegally.

City SP Bhanu Pratap Singh said the team acted quickly after receiving information about the factory. An FIR was filed at IIT Amhara police station.

Operation Zakhira explosives seizure has uncovered a large illegal network making explosive firecrackers in the Patna area. The police said strict action will continue against those involved.
