In the fast-changing political scene of Bihar Elections, leaders are switching parties ahead of the polls. BJP MLA from Pirpainti, Lallan Kumar, has officially joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). The move was confirmed after Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Leader of the Opposition, welcomed him into the party.
Lallan Kumar also met former Chief Minister Rabri Devi during his joining ceremony. Sharing photos on Facebook, he wrote, “May the caravan of Rashtriya Janata Dal keep growing. From today, I have joined to make Bihar Tejashwi-filled. Tejashwi is the present, Tejashwi is the future.”
Sources reveal that Kumar was unhappy after the BJP denied him a ticket from the Pirpainti reserved seat, nominating Murari Paswan instead. Earlier, in his resignation letter, Kumar wrote that his political journey with the BJP had ended as the party no longer valued strong Dalit leadership.
With this switch, the Bihar Elections narrative has gained momentum, and RJD seems to be gathering fresh support as political alliances shift rapidly.
