Bihar Elections are heating up as Chanchal Singh vs Tejashwi Yadav becomes the new focus in Raghopur. Earlier, there was speculation that Prashant Kishor might contest from this key seat in Vaishali district. However, Jan Suraj Party has confirmed that Chanchal Singh will be its candidate. This move ends all rumors about PK’s direct contest against Tejashwi.
Jan Suraj President Uday Singh handed the party symbol to Chanchal Singh, officially nominating him from Raghopur. Earlier, the candidate’s name was missing from both lists of 116 candidates announced by the party. Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav will contest from Raghopur for the third time and is expected to file his nomination on October 15th.
The Raghopur battle gains importance because Prashant Kishor had previously warned Tejashwi that contesting from here would be risky, comparing it to Rahul Gandhi’s Amethi loss. Tejashwi first became MLA from Raghopur in 2015 and won again in 2020. Now, all eyes are on the Chanchal Singh vs Tejashwi Yadav clash that could shape Bihar’s political future.
