Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Opens Strong in India with ₹3.2 Crore Day 1

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle finally hit Indian cinemas on September 12, 2025, and earned an impressive ₹3.2 crore net on its opening day, according to Sacnilk. The anime film performed strongly in IMAX and 4DX formats, especially in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Kochi. The Demon Slayer Infinity Castle opening has excited fans across the country, showing the growing popularity of anime in India.

Japanese IMAX screenings led the way, with occupancy crossing 90% in Chennai and Kolkata. English IMAX shows also did well, recording over 80% in Bengaluru and Pune. In contrast, Hindi and Telugu 2D screenings had a weaker turnout, with occupancy below 30% in many centers.

Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film features voice actors Natsuki Hanae, Akari Kitō, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Hiro Shimono, Takahiro Sakurai, and Akira Ishida. Major studios including Shueisha, Aniplex, Sony Pictures Networks, Toho Pictures, and Crunchyroll produced the movie.

Industry experts expect collections to rise further over the weekend as word of mouth spreads. With anime culture gaining momentum in India, the strong debut of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle marks another milestone for Japanese films in the Indian market.
