Drunk Passenger Sexually Assaults Delta Employee at Salt Lake City Airport

Drunk passenger sexually assaults Delta employee

A shocking incident unfolded at Salt Lake City International Airport when a drunk passenger attacked airline staff. The woman, identified as 31-year-old Cody Sierra Marie Bryne, was boarding a Delta flight to Portland, Oregon. She refused to move from the aisle, forcing the pilot to order her off the plane.

As she was being escorted away, Bryne tried to run into a restricted area. On the way, she grabbed another woman by the neck and pulled her hair. Moments later, she assaulted a Delta employee by grabbing and twisting her breast while yelling threats.

Bryne attempted to flee after the attack but was caught at another airline counter, where she tried to book a ticket. Police arrested her, though she resisted being handcuffed. Officers reported that she smelled strongly of alcohol, struggled to walk, and could barely hold a proper conversation.

In custody, Bryne denied assaulting anyone, despite admitting earlier that she had been drinking that morning. She now faces charges of sexual battery, assault, public intoxication, and interfering with a flight crew—offenses that could lead to fines of up to $37,000.

Delta confirmed its zero-tolerance policy, stressing that passenger and crew safety remains its top priority.
