Elon Musk Denies Link to Jeffrey Epstein After Files Mention His Name

Elon Musk Denies Link to Jeffrey Epstein

Elon Musk has denied any link to Jeffrey Epstein after his name appeared in newly released Epstein files alongside other high-profile figures like Bill Gates and Steve Bannon.

On Sunday, Musk said Epstein once tried to get him to the US Virgin Islands, where many women accused Epstein of abuse, but he refused. “Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED, yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit,” Musk posted on X. He added that anyone spreading false claims “deserves complete contempt.”

The controversy began after US Democratic lawmakers released a six-page document that listed tentative meetings. It showed Musk’s name under a proposed trip to Epstein’s island on December 6, 2014, with the note, “Is this still happening?” The papers did not confirm whether Musk ever visited. Shortly after, Musk called the claim “false.”

The documents also mentioned a planned breakfast with Trump ally Steve Bannon in 2019 and a tentative meeting with Bill Gates in 2014.

Democratic lawmakers have urged the Justice Department to release all Epstein files, something the Trump administration has so far refused, saying there is no “client list.”
