Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, broke her silence after a viral video showed her hugging US Vice President JD Vance at a Turning Point USA event. Speaking to Fox News, Erika said she feels “cameras analysing” her every move since her husband’s death.
“There were cameras all over my husband when he was murdered,” she told host Jesse Watters. “There have been cameras all over me, analysing every smile and every tear. We deserve to have cameras in court too.”
Erika urged transparency in the upcoming trial of Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing her husband. “Why not be transparent? Let everyone see what true evil is,” she said, adding that the case “could impact generations.”
Now serving as CEO of Turning Point USA, Erika has faced criticism for returning to public life. The controversy grew after footage showed her embracing Vice President Vance while introducing him at an event in Mississippi.
During the Fox News interview, Erika broke down while watching a video of her late husband. Fighting tears, she said, “I didn’t sign up for anything. I just married the love of my life.”
