During the live telecast of the Bihar Assembly session, a rare moment brought the issue of Bihar Assembly nepotism into focus. The camera captured several family members of political leaders sitting together in the same row. This scene quickly became a talking point across the state.
On the second day of the session, the seating arrangement placed Jyoti Manjhi and her daughter-in-law Deepa Manjhi side by side. This visual added to the growing discussion on Bihar Assembly nepotism. Two rows ahead sat Snelata Kushwaha, and next to her was her minister son, Deepak Prakash. Nearby were JDU MLC Dinesh Singh and LJP MP Veena Singh’s daughter, Komal Singh.
Later, when Snelata spoke, the camera again captured her son, who attended the session as a minister. In the same row, Deepa Manjhi and her mother, Jyoti, were also seen together. Jyoti won from Barachatti on a HAM ticket, while Deepa won from Imamganj on an RLSP ticket.
The Bihar elections saw many leaders’ relatives win or lose seats. Leaders like Samrat Chaudhary, Tejashwi Yadav, and Nitin Navin succeeded again, while others such as Tej Pratap Yadav and Veena Devi lost.
