Former Minister Jogi Ramesh Sent to Remand — Court Orders Shock YSRCP

Former Minister Jogi Ramesh Arrest Case — Court sends him to remand till Nov 13 over fake liquor links.

Former Andhra Pradesh Minister Jogi Ramesh was arrested on Sunday and later produced before the court. After hearing the case, the court remanded him till November 13. His brother Jogi Ramu was also remanded. Following the order, police shifted both to the Vijayawada Central Jail.

According to sources, the SIT (Special Investigation Team) officials interrogated Ramesh and his brother separately for nearly 12 hours at the Excise Department office. The questioning focused on Ramesh’s alleged links with Janardhan Rao, the main accused in the spurious liquor case.

During the interrogation, several crucial questions were raised about the flow of funds and political connections. Later, both brothers underwent medical tests before being produced in court. The proceedings began late Sunday night and continued until 5 a.m. on Monday.

The court then issued remand orders, marking a significant turn in the fake liquor case. This development has created a buzz in Andhra political circles, as Jogi Ramesh served as a close aide to the previous YSRCP government.
