Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has issued a strong warning, saying government land fraud will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He made it clear that government land fraud will not be tolerated and strict action will follow if officials or private individuals try to misuse public land.
The warning came after reports of serious irregularities in Muzaffarpur. In one case, land belonging to a government agricultural farm was wrongly recorded in the name of a private person. The Deputy CM said such actions show gross negligence and possible collusion.
Sinha, who also handles the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, instructed officials to follow rules carefully while updating land records. He said officers must not misuse court orders or legal provisions to benefit land grabbers.
He also warned that officials found guilty will face disciplinary action. Legal proceedings may also begin against those who illegally occupy or transfer government land.
The Deputy CM stressed that public land belongs to the people and must remain protected. The state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against land fraud.
Sinha said the government will continue strict monitoring to stop land mafia activities and ensure transparency in land administration across Bihar.
