Hemant Soren joins Grand Alliance meeting with Tejashwi Yadav

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) led by Hemant Soren has decided to join the Grand Alliance in Bihar, strengthening ties with Tejashwi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). JMM leaders Sudibya Kumar Sonu and Vinod Pandey met Tejashwi Yadav in Patna to discuss seat-sharing. During the talks, the JMM demanded 12 seats in Bihar, though RJD sources say it may receive three to five.

The alliance meeting also discussed the inclusion of Pashupati Paras’s RLSP. While the seat-sharing plan is finalized, an official announcement is expected soon. This move is seen as part of Hemant Soren’s strategy to expand JMM’s presence beyond Jharkhand.

In the previous Jharkhand elections, Soren allotted six seats to RJD, which won four. Now, with JMM entering Bihar’s Grand Alliance, political observers believe the coordination between RJD and JMM will deepen across state borders. The formal agreement is expected within days.
