The political atmosphere in Bihar is tense as JDU MLAs worried over ticket cancellations. Many sitting legislators are anxious because even the seats they won in the last election now face multiple strong contenders. These new aspirants are submitting detailed biodata, claiming they can perform better and win easily. This internal competition has left MLAs restless, fearing they may lose their party tickets.
Many contenders were once close aides who helped the MLAs win earlier. Now, backed by senior leaders, they are demanding nominations. To secure their positions, MLAs are running from one senior leader to another. Meanwhile, JDU is conducting an internal survey to assess the performance, popularity, and public image of its MLAs.
The survey checks if the MLAs have personal support or rely solely on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s image. Those seen as weak may be denied tickets. The party will give preference to candidates with strong winning chances. Clearly, JDU MLAs worried over ticket cancellations are facing sleepless nights.
