The vote counting for the Jubilee Hills by-election will begin at 8 AM tomorrow at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium in Yousufguda. Hyderabad District Election Officer RV Karnan said the process will start with counting postal ballots, followed by EVM votes. He added that results will be compiled in ten rounds for faster completion.
Karnan explained that, with special permission, 42 counting tables have been arranged instead of the usual 14. A total of 1,94,631 votes were cast across 407 polling stations, recording a 48.49% turnout.
About 186 officials, including counting supervisors, assistants, and micro-observers, will oversee the process. The Returning Officer will monitor each round closely. Only candidates and their authorized agents will be allowed inside the counting center.
Results will be updated live on the Election Commission’s website https://results.eci.gov.in. A large LED screen will display updates for the media. Joint CP Iqbal stated that police teams will ensure smooth proceedings, with Section 144 in force around the center. Violations will lead to strict action.
