Mukesh Sahni Deputy CM Bihar became the main highlight of the Bihar elections. VIP party chief Mukesh Sahni won his first seat under the Grand Alliance. Congress leader Ashok Gehlot announced that Sahni would be the Deputy CM face. Tejashwi Yadav will lead as the Chief Minister candidate.
The press meet started late because Gehlot and Tejashwi discussed this move in private. Earlier, Sahni had said that Tejashwi would be CM and the “Son of Mallah” would become Deputy CM. Congress and RJD had avoided confirming this until now. Gehlot’s official statement shows that Congress has agreed to RJD and VIP’s leadership role.
Gehlot said democracy in Bihar is in danger and the state needs a new direction. He added that this step was taken with the consent of Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. He also said that farmers, students, and workers want change. Tejashwi’s bond with Rahul during his visit sent a clear message across India.
