The Mukhyamantri Rojgar Yojna is a Bihar government scheme that gives financial help to women to begin small businesses. Under this plan, women can receive a total amount of up to Rs 2,10,000 to support self‑employment.
Eligible women first get Rs 10,000 as initial support directly in their bank accounts. After this, they may get more money — up to Rs 2 lakh — in stages once they successfully start and run their work.
The government has set the last date to apply as 31 December 2025. Women who miss this date will not be considered for the scheme.
To join the scheme, women in rural areas should be part of a local Jeevika group and can apply through their village organisation. Women in cities can apply online through the official portal.
So far, over 1.5 crore women have received the initial Rs 10,000 support. This initiative aims to make women financially independent and strengthen small enterprises in both rural and urban Bihar.
