The cyber police unit has sent official emails to Facebook and Instagram. Officers have asked the platforms to share account details, IP information, and the source location of the video. The police are closely monitoring online activity linked to the account.
An FIR has been registered at the Patna cyber police station. Senior officials, including IG Jitendra Rana, are supervising the investigation. Police said further action will follow once social media companies respond.
The threat surfaced after a political uproar over a video showing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during an event involving a Muslim woman doctor’s hijab. The incident sparked strong reactions across Bihar and online platforms.
