Police began inspections days before New Year’s Eve. They are checking vehicles and hotels at major spots like Gandhi Maidan, Exhibition Road, Boring Road, R Block, and Veerchand Patel Path. More than 100 magistrates will supervise safety in busy zones.

Patna Smart City Limited installed 3,300 CCTV cameras at sensitive locations such as JP Ganga Path and Patna Zoo. Cameras will track crowds and traffic in real time. Authorities banned private boats on the Ganga and other rivers from Dec 31 morning to Jan 1 evening.

Police will watch for drunken driving and reckless behavior. Hotel owners must screen guests to prevent trouble.

The administration advises citizens to stay alert and use helpline numbers to report issues. Quick reporting will help police maintain law and order and keep the New Year celebrations safe and peaceful.
