Prashant Kishor, leader of Jan Suraj Party, has clarified questions on his income and party funds. He revealed that in the last three years, he earned ₹241 crore through consultancy work. Out of this, he donated ₹98 crore from his personal account to Jan Suraj Party.
BJP leader Sanjay Jaiswal had earlier questioned the source of funds. Responding, Kishor said his earnings are transparent, coming only from consultancy fees charged to individuals and companies. He stated that ₹30.95 crore was paid as GST and ₹20 crore as income tax.
At a Patna press meet, Kishor criticized NDA leaders including Samrat Chaudhary and Ashok Chaudhary. He sarcastically compared Bihar leaders to thieves, saying they see everything as theft. Kishor insisted Jan Suraj Party takes no money from mafias or corrupt sources, only from consultancy income.
With this disclosure, Kishor aimed to silence critics and show that Jan Suraj Party runs on clean funds. The controversy highlights Bihar politics and the growing debate over transparency in party funding.
