Patna Police has revealed shocking details in the RJD leader Rajkumar Rai murder case. The killing happened over a one-acre land dispute in Munnachak. Investigations showed that Rai’s brother, brother-in-law, and son-in-law hired shooters for one lakh rupees to kill him. The police have arrested five people in connection with the case.
Earlier, three suspects were caught in a late-night raid in the Sipara area. Rajkumar Rai was shot dead on September 10 near Chitragupta Nagar. Six cartridges were recovered from the scene. The criminals fired five bullets as Rai tried to escape into a restaurant for safety.
Rai, also known as Ala Rai, was the Vaishali district president of Panchayati Raj Cell RJD. He had planned to contest upcoming elections as an independent candidate from Raghopur. He was also active in the land business, which police believe sparked the fatal dispute.
