Police in Mansa have booked Sukhbir Kaur, wife of SAD leader Nirvair Singh Burj Hari, in a fake Aadhaar and voter ID case. The complaint says she used a fake Aadhaar card and voter ID to tamper with records and enter the Mansa voter list.
The Electoral Registration Officer filed the complaint. Police said she created a fake Aadhaar card, tampered with records, and added her name to the Mansa Assembly constituency voter list, even though she lives abroad.
Mansa DSP Boota Singh Gill confirmed the case after an SDM inquiry. Police accused her of fraudulently making and using the documents.
This incident raises strong concerns over misuse of fake Aadhaar card and voter ID in Punjab.
