Satellite Cities in 11 Districts

Bihar tech hub plan cabinet approval

Bihar has launched a major Bihar tech hub plan to push the state toward a modern, innovation-driven economy. The Nitish Kumar cabinet cleared three top committees to guide this mission. The aim of the Bihar tech hub plan is to build new tech zones and satellite cities across 11 districts. These cities will support growth in startups, IT services, and new-age industries.

The state wants to become a strong center for technology and employment. The committees will prepare action plans and monitor progress. They will focus on sectors like defense manufacturing, semiconductors, global capability centers, fintech, and mega tech cities. Experts from India and abroad will join these efforts.

Another committee will work to make Bihar a global back-end hub in the next five years. A third committee will support startups and youth-focused employment programs. This move aims to boost entrepreneurship and job creation across the state.

Satellite cities will come up in nine divisional headquarters along with Sitamarhi and Sonpur. These zones will help spread economic development and create more opportunities for local talent.
