Solver gang cheating scam has come to light during the Driver Constable recruitment exam in Bihar. The incident happened at the DAV Katar exam centre in Dehri, Rohtas district. Police arrested four people, including the candidate, after receiving a tip-off.
During the exam, a man entered the centre posing as a senior treasury officer. His behaviour raised suspicion. Police reached the spot and questioned him. His documents were found to be fake.
Investigators found that the candidate was taken out of the exam hall with the OMR sheet and question paper. He was locked inside a bathroom. The papers were passed to accomplices sitting inside a Scorpio car. The solver gang completed the answers and returned the papers.
The arrested candidate, Vikas Kumar of Jehanabad, admitted to paying ₹10 lakh for help. He had already paid ₹2.5 lakh in advance. Two others, Santosh Kumar and Lalendra Kumar, were caught inside the Scorpio.
Police seized the Scorpio, three mobile phones, fake ID cards, and a forged order letter. Officials said the solver gang cheating scam shows how organised exam fraud networks operate. Further investigation into their criminal history is ongoing.
