Speaker’s Final Call on Defected MLAs Soon

Telangana MLA Disqualification decision is nearing as Speaker prepares final call with legal advice and court deadline.

The Supreme Court has taken a serious view regarding the petitions filed against BRS MLAs who shifted loyalty, creating suspense over the Speaker’s next move. The Court ordered a deadline, increasing political tension. The Speaker is expected to announce a decision within the given time, and discussions began on who may face action and who may receive relief.

Legal experts said the Speaker holds two choices. First, he may cancel all petitions and give a clean chit to all MLAs. The second option is to disqualify only those who allegedly have strong evidence of defection. Congress leadership reportedly prefers resignation from MLAs Danam Nagender and Kadiyam Srihari instead of direct disqualification, as it may appear more dignified. The other eight MLAs may likely receive a clean chit if the Speaker files an affidavit before the Court.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Speaker plan to consult senior Supreme Court lawyers soon for clarity. Meetings are expected immediately to decide the legal path. Experts said the decision cannot be delayed further, and the final order must be issued before the deadline.

A firm decision is expected soon, and political circles are eagerly watching this key development.
