Stray dog terror in Sasaram created panic on Thursday morning after a violent stray dog bit around 70 people in different residential colonies of the city. Stray dog terror in Sasaram spread quickly as the animal moved freely from one area to another, attacking anyone who came in its path.
The dog was seen roaming through Gopalganj, Bawlia Road, and nearby localities. It attacked men, women, children, and even elderly residents. Shockingly, a one-year-old child was also bitten during the rampage.
Injured people rushed to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Doctors cleaned the wounds and gave anti-rabies injections without delay. Hospital officials said dog bite cases are rising fast, with more than 80 patients coming daily for similar treatment.
Residents said fear has taken over the neighborhoods. Many people avoided stepping out of their homes after the incident. Some families reported that more than one member was bitten.
Health officials advised citizens to stay alert and report aggressive stray dogs immediately. Local authorities are under pressure to act as anger grows among residents.
The incident has once again raised serious questions about stray dog control and public safety in Sasaram.
