A Tejas Rajdhani Express passenger slaps girl during a seat-related argument at Patna Junction, triggering outrage among fellow passengers. The incident happened while passengers were boarding the train for Delhi.
According to eyewitnesses, the girl felt unwell and tried to climb onto the middle berth. At that moment, a man sitting on the lower berth suddenly pulled down the chain, blocking her movement. This action led to a heated argument inside the coach.
When the girl’s uncle, a retired railway officer, questioned the man’s behavior, the situation worsened. The accused first slapped the girl and then attacked her uncle. The elderly man suffered injuries on his hands and chest during the assault.
Other passengers tried to calm the situation, but the attacker left the spot before railway security could take action. The victims later approached railway officials for help and medical assistance.
The injured uncle and his niece decided to cancel their journey due to the shock and injuries. They also alleged that the railway helpline response was delayed.
Railway authorities and police officials have started efforts to identify the accused. An investigation is underway, and officials said action will be taken once the suspect is traced.
