Kavitha Warns of Protest Over Palamuru Project

Kavitha warns of Telangana Jagruthi protest over Palamuru project and demands justice for displaced farmers.

Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha criticized the state government for ignoring the concerns of displaced families from the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project. She warned that if the government fails to act, they would stage a protest in front of CM Revanth Reddy’s residence.

Speaking at a public meeting in Nalgonda district, Kavitha accused the Congress of failing to resolve public issues despite being in power for nearly two years. She said Nalgonda has a long history of struggles, yet people still suffer without proper irrigation and drinking water. Kavitha demanded the government purchase cotton with 20% moisture and address the farmers’ grievances.

She also criticized the poor condition of the Nalgonda Government Hospital, saying it lacks basic facilities and funds for daily operations. Kavitha urged the health minister to introduce “Epidural treatment” for mothers and improve neonatal care facilities in the district hospital.

Kavitha demanded employment and livelihood for farmers who lost their land to projects and asked Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy to address issues in Sunkishala and Nakkalagandi projects. She said Telangana Jagruthi will continue to fight for “opportunity, power, and self-respect” in social Telangana.
