Telangana MLAs Disqualification Hearing Continues

Telangana MLA Disqualification Case hearings continue as remaining MLAs await examination.

The Telangana Assembly has been conducting hearings regarding disqualification petitions filed against certain MLAs accused of defection. The Speaker, Gaddam Prasad, questioned legislators about alleged party switching.

During the proceedings, lawyers representing MLA KP Vivek cross-examined MLA Tellam Venkat Rao. Similarly, MLA Sanjay was cross-examined by advocates representing MLA Jagadesh Reddy. Earlier, hearings were completed for MLAs Arikepudi Gandhi and Pocharm Srinivas Reddy.

MLAs Prakash Goud and Kale Yadayya had their hearings concluded on October 1, while Gudem Mahipal Reddy and Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy were heard on October 4. Since then, the hearings for six remaining MLAs have been postponed several times.

Two more legislators, Kadiyam Srihari and Danam Nagender, are required to respond to the Speaker’s notices. Their hearings are scheduled for tomorrow, and the Assembly expects to proceed with concluding the pending disqualification cases.
