Kartik month, known for its spiritual significance, has turned tragic for the Telugu states. While devotees light lamps for Lord Shiva and Vishnu during this sacred month, a series of deadly incidents have cast a shadow of grief.
On October 24, a Kaveri Travels bus traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru caught fire after colliding with a bike, killing 19 passengers. The horrific visuals, including a mother clutching her child amid flames, left the nation in mourning. Before the shock could fade, a stampede at the Venakteswara temple in Kashi Bugga on November 1 claimed nine more lives as 20,000 devotees crowded a space built for 3,000.
The tragedies continued on November 3, when an RTC bus from Tandur to Hyderabad collided with a speeding tipper truck carrying gravel. Nineteen passengers died instantly. Photos of survivors trapped in debris went viral, evoking public outrage and sorrow.
Astrologers are linking these events to the Brihaspati transits, predicting unstable planetary movements for the next eight years. They warn that such disasters, stampedes, and natural calamities may recur, urging governments and travelers to remain alert during crowded events.
