Verka Products Get Cheaper in Punjab After GST 2.0 Reforms

Verka products price reduction announcement

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced a major Verka products price reduction starting September 22. This move comes after the Centre’s GST 2.0 reforms, which cut taxes on essential dairy products.

With this revision, Verka has slashed prices across its wide range. Ghee will be cheaper by Rs 30–35 per litre or kg. Table butter will drop by Rs 30 per kg, while unsalted butter will see a Rs 35 cut per kg. Processed cheese prices will reduce by Rs 20 per kg. Standard, toned, and double-toned milk will now cost Rs 2 less per litre.

Other popular items are also getting cheaper. Paneer will reduce by Rs 15 per kg, and ice cream varieties such as gallons, bricks, and tubs will fall by Rs 10 per litre.

The Punjab CM said this step ensures that the benefits of GST cuts directly reach the common man, easing household budgets. The announcement is expected to bring relief to families and boost Verka’s sales across the state.
