A young woman from Muzaffarpur has been arrested in a Bihar protest conspiracy case. Police say she tried to create fear and unrest by posting a fake protest video on social media. She posted it on X and claimed that “youths are protesting on the streets of Bihar” after the vote counting in the Bihar Assembly elections. She used this false message to make the video look real.
The video quickly spread online and created confusion among people. Many believed that protests had broken out across the state. However, no such protest happened after the election results. Police say the young woman planned to incite violence similar to the recent Gen-G protests in Nepal. Because of this, they treated the matter as serious.
Cyber Cell ASI Dayal Narayan Singh filed the FIR. He stated that the video’s design and the woman’s captions clearly attempted to create panic. The police team felt that the Bihar protest conspiracy case could disturb peace and cause hatred among communities.
Officers said a large amount of misleading content was shared from her account. They added that such actions can spread anger, fear, and tension in society. The investigation in Muzaffarpur continues.
